Every commission I do is special in its own way. I would be lying if I said this one was easy to create emotionally. There is nothing to block out the feelings when painting, it’s all out on the canvas to see and focus on. I think this is a good thing, a form of therapy, and helps me grow to the next chapter of this chaotic life. I sure hope so at least…
It’s going to a very special person in Ohio/Florida who has known me my entire life. This piece is inspired from their best friend and my rock. In a world of foundations of sand, she brought both of us: Loyalty, Trust, Beauty, Longevity, Wisdom, Courage, Unconditional Love, Stability, + Comfort
Inspired from the colors of her funeral card, and there are 9 color layers each representing an attribute she gave us.
